Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Bethesda, MD that is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This position is responsible for managing the company's outgoing payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities :

• Process high volume of vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment
• Review and verify invoice accuracy, appropriate approvals, and coding to general ledger
• Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices
• Maintain vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Maintain organized digital and physical records of all payables
• Support audits by providing documentation and account analysis as needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical / dental / vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
