  • About the Role

Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Transactions Department. This position plays a vital role in supporting attorneys with commercial transactions, document preparation, and client communication in a fast-paced, professional environment. The role reports directly to the Managing Partner of the Transactions Department and supports multiple attorneys within the group.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with commercial transactions, including organizing due diligence materials, drafting and reviewing contracts, and preparing transcripts and closing binders.
  • Manage and maintain both electronic and hard-copy files in accordance with firm standards.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure timely completion of assignments and projects.
  • Provide support in probate and estate matters as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information at all times.
  • Professionally communicate with clients, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding transactional matters.
  • Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Education : Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

    Experience : Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a legal assistant in a law firm, preferably with transactional practice exposure.

    Professional Skills :

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn firm protocols regarding document review and database management.
  • General understanding of transactional legal processes.
  • Preferred Skills and Competencies :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and discretion with confidential information.
  • Proactive in anticipating attorney needs and managing multiple projects.
  • Adaptable to new technologies and firm systems.
