About the Role
At Flexcraft, you’ll lead a high-output manufacturing team and keep our operation running safely, efficiently, and in full compliance. As the Plastics Manufacturing Operations Supervisor, you’ll guide a large shift team, coordinate production plans, uphold quality, and communicate with leadership to drive continuous improvement across the floor.
A Day in the Life
- Kick off the shift with a floor audit, confirm readiness, and hold a brief huddle to align priorities.
- Assign work, adjust schedules, and manage overtime to ensure production targets and customer commitments are met.
- Walk the lines to monitor machines and throughput, verify standards, and reinforce safe practices.
- Observe performance, coach in the moment, recognize wins, and address concerns in line with company policy.
- Partner with Quality to uphold specifications, reduce scrap, and solve issues quickly.
- Capture accurate data in IQMS and other ERP tools; maintain shift logs and reports for productivity, downtime, and scrap.
- Review and approve timecards and PTO requests in ADP; maintain staffing coverage and resolve conflicts.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify waste, elevate throughput, and embed continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Staffing, job assignments, and schedule management for a team of 30+ employees.Meeting production schedules while ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.Coaching, feedback, recognition, and performance monitoring.Shift-start audits and ongoing floor oversight of machines and productivity.Quality, waste reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives.Timekeeping administration in ADP; approval of timecards and PTO.Reporting : shift logs, productivity metrics, scrap, and downtime.Accurate ERP data entry, with IQMS experience preferred.Qualifications
Education & Certifications
College degree or equivalent work experience.Experience & Technical Skills
Background in manufacturing and warehouse environments.Proven success leading teams of thirty or more.Exposure to blow molding and / or injection molding (preferred).Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.ERP experience; IQMS familiarity preferred.Solid understanding of production equipment, tools, and standardized procedures.Knowledge of roles reporting to a supervisor and how adjacent departments operate.Leadership & Soft Skills
