JOB SUMMARY :
The Service Technician will assist our Senior level technicians in refurbishing our vehicles - heavy vehicles like cement mixers and refuse trucks.
You will be tearing down existing units and helping to rebuild these units with new parts.
In this role, we will help you expand your skillsets. We will teach you both welding fundamentals and hydraulic repair if you do not currently possess these skills, although some experience in hydraulic systems is preferred.
We are looking for people who can read and understand electrical schematics to effectively diagnose issues. We are looking for technicians that are familiar with suspension and steering systems of commercial vehicles or large trucks.
What you will NOT need to do - Transmission and Engine Repair
Hours : M-F 7-4
Pay : Depends on experience : 24.30 / hour to 29 / hour. If you are very well qualified and have worked on either cement or refuse vehicles before, we can potentially go higher for a standout applicant, please apply!
IMPACT :
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Refurbish vehicles and various equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
- Understand the electrical and hydraulic schematics to be able to complete the rebuilds correctly and safely.
- Assist other technicians with maintenance, removing worn parts and replacing with new parts and ensure to comply by safety regulations.
- Leverage advanced technicians to further understanding of proper maintenance practices, safely procedures, and efficiency of work.
- Support team members in troubleshooting different vehicles and various equipment and determining the resolution.
- Repair vehicles at times out of the shop, on the road.
- Actively seeking ways to retain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- The ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
