Corporate Development Senior Associate
The Corporate Development (M&A) team is responsible for helping TIAA's businesses achieve their growth objectives by creating a comprehensive corporate development strategy and executing M&A, divestments, partnerships / joint ventures, and investments. The M&A team seeks an experienced professional to join the team as a Senior Associate. The Senior Associate will support the implementation of transactions, while working cross-functionally across the entire deal lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluation, bid underwriting and submission, due diligence, contract negotiations, and internal approvals. In addition, the Senior Associate will manage some of the planning, execution, separation, integration, and organizational restructuring activities related to post merger initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct comprehensive industry landscape analysis to identify themes and acquisition targets; effectively present findings to team leads and senior management.
- Collaborate with colleagues and internal clients, including supporting presentations to internal clients as part of the development of and evaluation of opportunities.
- Conduct rigorous financial analyses including development of operating models, valuation, returns, and transaction financial impact analysis.
- Lead and coordinate various aspects of due diligence, in partnership with cross-functional teams including business sponsors, finance, accounting, tax, product and distribution, risk, compliance, operations, IT along with external advisors.
- Support the external interactions during deal sourcing and negotiations, e.g., maintaining relationships with investment banks and other market participants, including founders.
- Lead in the preparation of executive-level presentations for the Executive Committee and the TIAA Board to garner approval and buy-in on new opportunities.
- Support post-acquisition integration across functions.

Anticipated Posting End Date : 2025-09-11 Base Pay Range : $170,000 / yr - $215,000 / yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
