Job descriptionResponsibilities : Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth within the assigned territory, targeting small to midsize biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Identify and proactively seek out potential clients and new business opportunities through research, networking, and attending industry events. Understand each client's unique needs and challenges, and effectively communicate how our Discovery Chemistry and Biology Services can address their specific research and development requirements. Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in client organizations, including scientists, researchers, project managers, and C-level executives. Collaborate closely with our scientific and technical teams to understand the capabilities of our services, ensuring accurate and compelling communication of our value proposition to clients. Prepare and deliver engaging presentations, proposals, and quotes highlighting our services' benefits and addressing client needs. Negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve mutually beneficial agreements while adhering to company policies and profitability goals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging drug discovery and development technologies. Provide regular feedback and insights from the field to inform product development, marketing strategies, and overall business growth. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field); advanced degree (MSc, MBA, PhD) is a plus. Proven track record of at least 3 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the life sciences or pharmaceutical testing services industry. Strong understanding of drug discovery processes, chemistry, and biology concepts, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with clients. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility at all levels of an organization. Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and quotas. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (up to [X]% travel) to meet with clients and attend industry events.
