Assistant Youth Ministries Coordinator

Position Summary : To support The Youth Ministries Coordinator (YMC) in all aspects of youth ministry, programing, and events, including overseeing employees, volunteers, care for children and provide a safe, positive, and beneficial experience in a Christian environment.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Assist in the planning and implementation of activities and events that support spiritual growth in various age groups of children.
• Maintain files and gather statistical and financial data for corps youth and program efforts as directed by the YMC.
• Attend youth and program related events as required by the YMC.
• Work within our nursery to keep the children safe, teach them about the love of Jesus, Prepare, teach, and execute plans as needed by the YMC.
• Carry out a planned activity each nursery time (e.g., craft, game, coloring, and / or story time).
• Teach a Pre-school Sunday School lesson each Sunday.
• Properly clean and maintain all areas used for nursery care and youth programs.
• Work in close coordination and cooperation with Church Youth Leaders.
• Maintain focus on interacting with the kids.
• Check children's diapers and change them as needed and in a timely manner.
• Follow behavioral management policies with all youth.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment that facilitates learning. (Relay any noticed safety issues or need for supplies to the Youth Ministries Coordinator.)
• Work with children of Spanish / English class to bridge to Corps.
• Fulfill assigned responsibilities and hours during Summer Day Camp and the Christmas season
• Perform other duties as assigned
