A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING The Director of Purchasing is responsible for leading all purchasing and inventory control activities to ensure the company acquires high-quality products and services at the most competitive prices.
This role oversees supplier management and inventory optimization to support company objectives and operational efficiency.
The Director will collaborate cross-functionally with key departments to ensure materials and supplies are delivered on time and align with production requirements. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related discipline (required) Minimum of 8 years in purchasing and inventory control management, including supervisory experience.
Demonstrated history of process improvement and cost reduction achievement ESSENTAIL FUNTIONS AND SKILLS :
Monitor purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy Reviews weekly inventory trends and discuss variations with appropriate staff members Experience with Microsoft Office :
