The Iowa Department of Public Safety is seeking to fill an Administrative Support Assistant 3 position within its Division of Professional Development and Support Services.

This position assists with the functions that fall within the responsibility of the Division of Professional Development and Support Services.
This includes but is not limited to the following :
Serve as the master administrator for the PowerDMS database that is the central repository for all DPS policies, procedures, manuals, reference materials, and accreditation documentationCoordinate, create, publish, and facilitate departmental training bulletins and training coursesImplement training modules for DPS staff in WorkDayAdministrative functions supporting the DPS Law Enforcement AcademyAssist with recruitment effortsServe as backup to the department's accreditation managerDocument, manage, and prepare reports on training records for DPS employees, sworn and non-swornAssist in the coordination of the medical physicals for all DPS sworn staff (approximately 650 officers)Manage and coordinate billing with accounts payable relating to responsibilities within PDSSMaintain authorization as Certified proctor of Police Officer Standardized Test (POST) and Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI)Additional Requirements :
Applicants must be able to pass through a background investigation conducted by the Iowa Department of Public Safety.Applicant must receive NCIC certification within 6 months of hire.Further Information :

Minimum Qualification Requirements :
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification :Two years of full-time work experience in general office, clerical, data entry / processing, or related work.A total of two years of education and / or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as an Administrative Support Assistant 2 or eighteen months of full-time work as an Administrative Support Assistant 1.
