Summary : Responsible for the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of both the strategic and day to day activities of the Security department.

Essential Functions :

• Hires, promotes, trains, disciplines, schedules, directs, develops, measures performance and terminates Security employees, as necessary
• Leads the security organization for the property, working with the General Manager, to meet department objectives
• Leads Shift Supervisors to ensure each shift is operating efficiently and effectively
• Ensures the quality of management operations in all areas of Security
• Ensures employee performance standards, and departmental policies and procedures are in place and enforced within the department
• Monitors all activities on property, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, including but not limited to, OSHA and Nevada Gaming Control Board are enforced throughout the property
• Authorizes security clearance and / or access to sensitive areas of the property
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
• Maintains fire control systems and personal alarm systems on property
• Organizes the Lost and Found Department on property
• Maintains good working relationships with various members of the business community (i.e., Nevada Gaming Commission, Police Department, Sheriff's Department, Fire Department, etc.)
• Routinely tours and inspects the property, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person, for proper resolution
• Other duties as assigned
