As a Procurement Analyst Warehousing, you will support and optimize procurement activities for Smithfield's warehouse operations. You'll play a key role in sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective support for warehousing, cold storage, and distribution services.

  • Drive Cost Savings : Analyze spend and supplier performance to identify savings and improve procurement efficiency across warehousing and third-party service providers.
  • Support Sourcing Operations : Source warehouse equipment, MRO supplies, cold storage solutions, and third-party logistics services to meet distribution needs.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work with warehouse, logistics, and inventory teams to forecast demand and align procurement strategies.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships : Maintain supplier partnerships and assist in contract negotiations, RFQs, POs, and service-level agreements.
  • Monitor Inventory & Compliance : Track inventory levels, prepare procurement reports and KPIs, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Procurement & Supply Chain Experience : Experience in procurement, supply chain, or warehouse operations with a focus on optimizing cost and efficiency.
  • Technical Proficiency : Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and procurement tools.
  • Warehousing Knowledge : Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
  • Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams.
  • Organizational Skills : Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
