Environmental Services - Manager in Training

Our exciting Manager-In-Training (MIT) program gives you the opportunity to learn and grow at an established company with over 45 years of experience. As our newest associate, you'll experience a custom interactive program that will guide you through hands-on and computer-based training, lasting approximately twelve (12) weeks. The program focuses on different aspects of managing your own account.

Position Summary

Our Manager-In-Training (MIT) program provides hands-on and computer-based training over approximately twelve (12) weeks, focusing on managing your own account. The program includes :

  • General Training & Comprehension - Learn and perform duties of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper / floor tech, and laundry worker; operate and teach others to operate a variety of industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Leadership Development - Assist in training, quality control, and in-servicing staff according to policies, procedures, and federal / state requirements.
  • Policies & Procedures - Provide leadership and guidance to ensure quality standards, inventory, safety, and customer service expectations are met; follow applicable standards in line with policies to ensure quality housekeeping services.
  • Reporting - Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format for management.
  • Training - Responsible for training, quality control, and staff in-servicing to meet HCSG standards; tour facilities to assess work quality using QCIs.
  • Leadership - Manage payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching, discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
  • Communication - Convey directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
  • Safety - Use PPE appropriately; handle cleaning solutions safely; report needs or malfunctions; adhere to safety and infection control policies.
  • Punctuality - Maintain consistent attendance and timely completion of tasks; respond to paging as needed.
  • Customer Experience - Represent HCSG courteously and cooperatively with staff and clients.
  • Resident Experience - Interact positively with residents and facility guests.
  • Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks.
  • After training, use leadership skills to work with minimal supervision and perform duties safely.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to maintain records and complete reports (including web-based reporting).
  • Must be able to be at work as scheduled and on time.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and / or customers.
  • Must be able to lift / carry up to 50 pounds, push / pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously; work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must live in the service area.
