Electrical Engineer 5
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to provide expert technical leadership and contribute to the delivery of industrial design projects across the chemical, power, utilities, and manufacturing sectors. This role involves designing and retrofitting industrial power distribution systems and substations, performing complex electrical studies, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for driving innovation in electrical engineering practices. Preferred locations include : Wadsworth, OH; Columbus, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Philadelphia, PA; as well as any CDM Smith offices.

Skills and Abilities :
Expert knowledge of electrical design principles, power system analysis tools, and CADD 3D / 4D software. Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC, and other industry standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Ability to supervise, estimate, and manage complex engineering projects.
Pay Range Minimum : $90,605
Pay Range Maximum : $158,579
Additional Compensation : All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
Work Location Options : Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate.
