What We Need
We’re seeking a Senior Audio Editor and Content Writer for the Breakfast Club with a passion for storytelling and sound. Strong audio editing skills. You’ll lead the creation of compelling audio and written content, ensuring high editorial standards and inclusive narratives. Ideal candidates bring strong collaboration skills, editorial judgment, and experience producing standout content in fast-paced environments.
What You'll Do
Handle audio editing and post-production
Oversee and manage multiple productions
Interface with talent and teams for assets and deliverables
Execute ad creative with talent based on sold campaigns and client timelines
Edit and load Broadcast, Podcast and Digital Episodes
Formulate creative ideas for segments and new content
Identify, write and edit a high volume of content daily; ensure content is accurate, informative and entertaining
Generate creative ideas for stories, features and other shareable content
Apply editorial judgment to content production
Work on all aspects of show content production from start to finish
Create a content outline for the Breakfast show daily
Edit interviews and show content for air
Adhere to FCC guidelines
Develop and implement strategic plans, goals and vision to keep the show competitive and align with brand image
Create and introduce new concepts, conduct audience research, and identify usable archives and audio resources
Provide live support for Breakfast Club cast members in show
Assist in scheduling and managing contributors and guests
Develop / produce content, write scripts, plan / show schedule, and direct on-air talent
Hold pre-production briefings for on-air talent, presenters, reporters, guests and technical staff
Assemble seamless edits of short and long format content under tight deadlines
Knowledge of the law, ethics and industry regulations related to news and radio production
What You'll Need
Masterful audio editing skills
Strong comedy writing skills
Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
Background in audio engineering
Experience recording and editing audio in Pro Tools and Audition
Intellectual curiosity and a passion for current events and culture
Strong research abilities and the capacity to present ideas coherently
Adaptability to changing priorities
Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills
Ability to generate original ideas and tailor content for audiences and platforms
Understanding of target audience and demographics
Excellent writing and storytelling skills; diplomacy, empathy and patience
