Finance Manager
As part of Unilever's North America (NA) Operations Finance team, this role will support NA Customer Operations and the NA Ambient business units, reporting to the Manager of Customer Operations Controls and Reporting and will be based out of Hoboken, New Jersey. The essence of this role is to provide guidance as a finance expert in progressing on-going business and new initiatives of the logistics operations team in the functional areas of Supply Chain Logistics Overheads and Inventory for the Ambient network. This role will span responsibilities to provide leadership and understanding of current logistics costs, controllership of the balance sheet, and establishing yourself as a valued business partner. In addition, the role will support the Manager of Customer Operations on strategic work such as performance reporting, savings, and inventory management.

The AFM will be aligned with our key business processes and play an integral role on cross-functional teams to lead our forecasting and performance management for NA Logistics. By providing an integrated financial perspective on the impact of business decisions, the AFM makes recommendations and influences decisions that maximize value for the business. Leads improvements in delivering business predictability through a robust forecasting, reporting and controls framework. Plays an active role in driving for change and continuous improvement in the business and within finance; identify areas that require improvement- increasing transparency, accuracy, and reliability of information. Collaborates effectively with other functional finance leaders to ensure that financial processes, including forecasts, are running effectively. In coordination with the Customer Operations team, maintains clear controls and reporting around supply chain overheads and inventory management. Partner with Customer Operations senior leadership to ensure budget maintenance and target delivery in SCOH. Contribute to cross functional business teams as a finance expert to help determine financial impact of projects, investments, and operational changes. Gather and communicate market insights for additional information about pertinent KPI's to increase efficiencies and / or close gaps in supply chain costs. Display digital savviness and comfortability with new technology to improve current processes and drive operational effectiveness across multiple financial and business systems
The following criteria are preferred but not compulsory : A degree in accounting or a professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, etc.) Prior exposure to the North America supply chain finance and ways of working Analytical thinking / problem solving ability. Ability to combine multiple and different data points to draw conclusions Apply systematic approach to identify and eliminate root causes Sees problems through to a complete solution beyond the immediate next step Understanding of the FMCG industry and the challenges. Rapidly absorbs new information, knowledge and applies new techniques, technology, and procedures Excellent level of computer literacy (incl. Excel, PowerPoint & SAP) and numeracy skills Professional communication skills for all levels of the organisation Ambitious to hit personal targets and standards Act to remove basic blocks to progress without waiting for others to do it Demonstrate commitment to the team in helping it achieve its goals Proactively share best practice, ideas, and insights with colleagues
The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. This position is bonus eligible. This position is LTI eligible. Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
