Financial Analyst (Remote DC / MD / VA)

Financial Analyst

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst to support our Health and Civilian Sector. This position will be hybrid with a minimum of two days on-site. The successful candidate will have excellent finance acumen and proven leadership skills to build strong relationships with business unit executives, program managers, and corporate department leads. Typical day-to-day activities include :

• Partnering with Division VP and program team to provide analysis and guidance that supports informed decision-making and opportunities to improve financial performance across the organization.
• Identifying trends, opportunities, and challenges in the portfolio of programs and recommending actions based on sound analysis.
• Responsible for working with key stakeholders in creating the Division annual budget.
• Maintaining and monitoring program forecasts, highlighting drivers, exposing risks and opportunities to achieving or exceeding financial targets.
• Supporting all aspects of program financial management and reporting, interfacing with Program Management, Contracts, Accounting, and Project Setup teams to ensure projects are within negotiated parameters and funded levels.
• Supporting the Program Management Team and the Contract Vehicle PMO group by providing advanced financial planning, reporting, and execution of contract deliverables, subcontractor management, and invoicing.
• Understanding and explaining key drivers of actual results against Budget and Forecast for various contract types (FFP, T&M, LOE, and Cost type).
• Preparing Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis and corporate submission.
• Supporting Monthly Accounting Close activities to include cost accruals, revenue and profit review and analysis, invoice review and approval, and indirect expense review.
• Proactively identifying corrective actions needed and working with Accounting staff to ensure business unit Profit & Loss accurately reflect financial performance.
• Monitoring business unit A / R (invoicing and aged receivables) and working with PMs and Billing to minimize Days Sales Outstanding.
• Supporting Finance Manager and VP with monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc requirements.

Posted Pay Range : The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department / team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range : USD $85,000.00 - USD $105,000.00 / Yr.
