EHS Manager II
Darigold is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for our brand new Pasco plant. This position must work closely with the Plant Managers and Plant EHS Managers to effectively coordinate and implement critical EHS programs to assure compliance with all regulatory requirements, agency guidelines and expectations, and Darigold's EHS policies. This position is also expected to effectively respond to all environmental, health and safety incidents and operational upsets. The position will also work very closely with key members of the plant staff, the other Senior EHS Managers in various regions and the Senior EHS Analyst.
What You Will Do :
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local requirements governing environmental protection and occupational safety and health standards by staying current and informed on federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Interface with various regulatory agencies, plant staff, EHS Managers, and the corporate EHS team as needed.
- Monitor environmental compliance and assure timely internal and external reporting and data input into Darigold's tracking systems. Alert and advise EHS Managers, Plant Managers, and corporate EHS staff when permit and / or compliance issues develop.
- Monitor occupational safety and health compliance and assure timely internal and external reporting and data input into Darigold's tracking systems. Alert and advise EHS Managers, Plant Managers, and corporate EHS team when safety and health issues develop.
- Respond and provide guidance and assistance for all emergency situations.
- Implement all aspects of EHS investigations, data analysis, recurrence prevention programs, and continuous improvement procedures.

What You Will Bring :
Professional communication skills and ability to respond effectively to EHS compliance issues, inquiries, and / or complaints are of critical importance. Also must be able to clearly communicate under pressure. Team leadership skills are also critical.Analyze data, write, and submit reports. Must be able to maintain EHS compliance software systems and utilize data to drive continuous improvement. Develop and deliver presentations on compliance topics to plant management, plant staff, and public groups when requested by the Senior EHS Director.Communicate technical and complex EHS concepts and requirements. Person in this position must be able to conduct technical training and engage employees in an effective learning experience.Pursue and productively participate in continuing technical education as deemed necessary by the Senior EHS Director.A master's degree in a technical field is highly desirable. A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety, or a related field. A combination of associate degree in a technical field and related EHS compliance experience may be considered at the discretion of the Sr. EHS Director as substitution for a bachelor's degree. Other technical degrees and / or experience combinations may also be considered if deemed appropriate.3 to 4 years of directly related experience in EHS compliance in the dairy foods processing industry is preferred but not required.Pay : $94,772.50 to $142,158 per year.
