Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be a dynamic addition to the finance team to support the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller with the calculation and maintenance of financial data. Additionally, this role will be involved with inventory valuation and presentation, lease accounting, and the month-end closing process, including consolidations.

• Monitor the company's inventory, including physical counts, tracking, and valuation.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Validate cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
• Maintain and update all leases for the company and provide reports monthly.
• Analyze warranty expense and record entries for the warranty reserve.
• Record entries for sales commissions.
• Calculate journal entries for various items including oil allocations, the reconciliation of medical benefits, asset additions and disposals, WIP job cost closures, and other general accounting needs.
• Validate the uploads from the various ERPs into the consolidation software.
• Reconcile all intercompany transactions recorded each month.
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Provide ad hoc reports to the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Five+ years of previous experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and laws, financial reporting, as well as in-depth understanding of cost accounting methods for inventory.
• Experience within a Finance team in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Oracle Financial Close and Consolidation experience a plus
• Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or SysPro experience a plus
