Advantra is partnering with a large enterprise data and systems team in Phoenix to hire a Technical Analyst to support analytics, reporting, and automation across business and technology functions.

About the role

You will build and maintain SQL queries, data scripts, and dashboards to support operational reporting and system analysis. The role involves using SQL, Python, and Power BI to analyze datasets, identify trends, and support process automation. You will also assist with system troubleshooting and enhancements in ServiceNow and other enterprise tools.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain SQL scripts and stored procedures for data analysis.

Build dashboards and visual reports using Power BI.

Use Python and R for data processing and analytics tasks.

Support integration and automation within ServiceNow and related systems.

Collaborate with business and technical teams to define reporting needs.

Monitor data accuracy and troubleshoot inconsistencies.

Document system changes, data models, and analysis processes.

Contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting and analytics workflows.

Provide technical support for SQL Server and related data environments.

Core requirements

3+ years of experience in data analysis or technical system support.

Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.

Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and automation.

Familiarity with Power BI report creation and maintenance.

Working knowledge of Java for application-level integrations.

Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDBMS.

Ability to work across teams to translate business needs into data solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

Nice to have

Experience automating reports or data pipelines.

Familiarity with REST APIs and system integrations.

Exposure to IT operations or incident management workflows.

Knowledge of statistical analysis using R or Python libraries.

Experience documenting data and system processes in Confluence or similar tools.
