PCB Layout Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer to join an aerospace client onsite in Santa Clara. This person holds strong expertise in Altium Designer to support high-performance board design and release processes. They will be responsible for executing PCB placement, layout, and Gerber file generation, collaborating closely with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will bring recent, hands-on experience and a deep understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and design for reliability.

(This role can pay $60-68 based off years of experience).

• Experience in the automotive industry, particularly with high voltage / high speed board designs.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) principles.
• Exposure to EMI / EMC mitigation techniques and thermal management strategies.
• Ability to contribute to design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience using Altium Designer for PCB layout and placement.
• Strong proficiency in Gerber file generation and release workflows.
• Demonstrated experience designing high voltage and high-speed boards, with attention to layout constraints and performance optimization.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with engineering teams.
