IYT is an AmeriCorps partner organization serving over 3,500 members across more than 60 sites in Sacramento County, Humboldt County, Yolo County, Central Valley, Bay Area and college students across the nation.
Position Overview :
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Development, the Development Coordinator serves as the backbone support for the Development team’s operations by overseeing administrative tasks and procedures to managing IYT’s donor relationships.
The Development Coordinator will manage the donor database and the donor acknowledgement process.
Responsibilities :
- Manage the timely acknowledgment of gifts and assure that all types of donations (cash, pledges, matching gifts, and planned gifts) are appropriately documented.
- Prepare research and materials on prospective donors.
- Assist with the writing and editing of appeals, acknowledgments, donor news, reports, and proposals.
- Assist in special projects and donor events, including the annual fund.
- Assist in the calendaring and coordination of both internal and external development meetings (scheduling, note taking, follow up and action items).
- Manage development of Salesforce application.
- Work in partnership with the Salesforce team to assist with training and maintaining up-to-date donor records.
- Ensure data integrity through accurate data entry and ongoing clean-up efforts.
- Coordinate the production and distribution of recurring donor communications. Maintain both physical and digital documentation to include, but not limited to, development processes, procedures, and donor records (ex.
development handbook, forms, email templates etc).
- Coordinate updates with the grant writing team.
- Assist with coordinating projects between Board and Development.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

- Familiarity with Salesforce, and Microsoft Suite applications (preferred but not required)
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 : 30am-5pm, some weekends, evenings and organization-wide events are required.
Location :
This position must be based in Sacramento and will work out of our Headquarters.
Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $66,560 - $70,000 per year commensurate with experience. Benefits include vision, health, dental, 403(b) retirement with 3% employer match after one year of employment, 2 weeks of accrued paid vacation, and up to 3 weeks paid time off for annual school breaks per the approval of the organization.
Requirement
Clearance from background checks is required for employment, with fingerprinting expense covered by employer.
