Description
Oxford Economics, a leading economic forecasting and consulting firm, is looking for an experienced HR professional to join our New York office as part of our global HR team. This role combines responsibility for HR operations across the Americas with broader involvement in global HR projects. The successful candidate will be confident working independently in a regional capacity while collaborating closely with colleagues across our international offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR processes for the New York office and wider Americas region, including offers, onboarding, and offboarding
- Oversee monthly payroll processes and ensure accurate administration of employee benefits including health benefits and 401(k) retirement plan
- Provide support with immigration matters and liaise with external providers where needed
- Ensure compliance with employment law in the US, with knowledge of Canadian and Mexican labour laws an advantage
- Support employee relations cases, assisting the team with providing guidance to managers in line with company policy and local labour law
- Build strong relationships with senior managers and the leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor on people matters
- Provide support to learning and development by assisting with the roll-out of global initiatives locally.
- Lead implementation of global wellbeing initiatives locally and contribute to the development of company-wide programmes
- Contribute to policy development and ensure policies are applied consistently across the region
- Partner with the wider global HR team to deliver on cross-regional projects and initiatives
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Strong HR operations experience with exposure to employee lifecycle processes, payroll, and benefits administrationGood knowledge of US employment law; experience with Canada and Mexico is an advantageExperience managing employee relations cases and providing advice to managersStrong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior leaders and work effectively in a global teamAble to work independently and take ownership of projects, while also contributing to wider global HR initiativesExperience facilitating learning and development programmes and supporting employee wellbeing initiativesOrganised, adaptable, and confident managing multiple prioritiesWhat We Offer
