Research and interpret state and local design codes for project compliance
Assist in preparing Basis of Design (BOD) documents and other technical reports
Serve as a resource for junior staff, offering guidance on tools, workflows, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with senior engineers on design challenges and project coordination
Contribute to substation and switchyard layout planning, including equipment placement, spacing requirements, and basic electrical connections
Maintain high accuracy in drawings and calculations, performing quality checks before submission
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Mid-level proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and drafting software (preferred)
Understanding of NEC and industry standards
2–4 years of relevant engineering design experience preferred
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
Your Growth Path
In your first 3–6 months, you'll focus on mastering EVS design standards, applying feedback, and completing design tasks with increasing independence.
