  • Position Overview
  • The Desktop Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support and deployment services for end-user computing environments across multiple private practice locations. This role involves managing hardware and software inventory, imaging and configuring workstations, and ensuring smooth rollouts of new technology. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and experience with Windows 11 upgrades and Citrix / VDI environments.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inventory of all hardware and software deployed across private practices.
  • Provide on-site and remote support for end users, including installation and configuration of hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Image and configure workstations, validate application functionality, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Deploy workstation setups with attention to cable management and ergonomic best practices.
  • Assist or lead site deployments for end-user hardware rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Perform Windows 11 upgrades and validate compatibility with existing applications and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network connectivity.
  • Document processes, configurations, and resolutions in the IT knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support Citrix and VDI environments for application delivery.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent listening, questioning, and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities; able to quickly learn and apply new technical concepts.
  • Ability to remain calm, tactful, and effective under pressure or during high-priority incidents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Understanding of applications running in Citrix environments and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Windows 11 imaging and deployment tools.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management systems and ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and peripheral device troubleshooting.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar are a plus.

    • Pay and Benefits
    • The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00 / hr.
