Machine Operator

Job Title :

• Machining Operator Classification : Non-exempt                          Department : Casting Reports to : Machining Shift Lead                 Purpose : Monitors a set of automated CNC machining lines to produce aluminum alloy billets for forging presses.   General Duties : Material handling requiring use of forklift and overhead crane Ensure quality is maintained Make offset adjustments if necessary Fill out required production documents Changeovers Maintain clean / organized work area Performs other duties as required   Skills : Able to work both independently and as a team Basic troubleshooting and problem solving Able to quickly identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly Able to use measuring devices such as calipers   Requirements : High school degree or GED equivalency.
• Basic mechanical aptitude Must be willing to work a (4 Star) 12-hour shifts (willing to work every other weekend and some holidays).

Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally Able to accurately use basic math Molten metal experience strongly preferred   Job Title :
