Human Resources Specialist

The Entry Level HR Specialist will support various projects across the United States supporting NASA, Commercial Spaceflight, Oil & Gas, commercial projects, and the Department of Defense (DoD); the office is located in Houston, Texas (77058).

Responsibilities :

• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Conduct new hire orientation and exit interviews.
• Assists with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Prepare and maintain employee personnel, confidential, payroll and insurance files.
• Answer main phone line, signs for deliveries, and assist visitors, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Background Investigations Required :
