Job description1. You are responsible for tending to 1 student throughout the school year with a medical need. Examples of some cases may be a child with diabetes, sickle cell, etc. Fee for Service LPN Availability during school hours Responsibilities : Protecting and maintain student’s health by providing professional nursing services in accordance with Nursing. Standards and NYS Licensing. Identifying and assessing students’ health needs, implementing services, and evaluating plans of care which impact student learning and achievement or safety. If you have these attributes : Passionate to work with children and their families Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong ability to collaborate with various professionals Self-starter and independent problem solver Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail Sterling values, high integrity, empathetic and considerate Ability to function well in a high-paced and dynamic environment Flexible thinker with the ability to pivot when necessary Must be a team player Life-long learner who is committed to personal development And this background : Graduate from an accredited university Current New York State License Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Physical setting : School Schedule : 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Experience : Nursing : 1 year (Preferred) License / Certification : LPN (Required) Willingness to travel : 100% (Preferred) Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Per diem, Temporary Salary : $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits : 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Physical setting : School Standard shift : Day shift Weekly schedule : Monday to Friday Ability to commute / relocate : Hempstead, NY 11550 : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) License / Certification : BLS Certification (Preferred) LPN (Preferred) Work Location : In person Powered by JazzHR
