Description

The People Management Generalist supports the daily functions of the People Management team including hiring and onboarding, benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices, and general employee support.

This position reports into the Jacksonville, FL facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for sourcing and recruiting top talent utilizing company’s applicant tracking system (ATS) and internal resources.
  • Works with external resources such as temporary employment agencies and recruiting companies to staff specific positions identified by upper management.
  • Prepare and execute new employee onboarding plans and new hire orientation.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute people management programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave;
  • disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale;

occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Supports timecard entry / payroll process on an as-needed basis.
  • Supports and participates in the safety program.
  • Implement programs with focus on impact and ESG initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive, and positive. Having a passion for exceptional customer service and support is a must.

Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with customer service is a requisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of very demanding customers.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams and other related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least three years of human resources experience preferred.
