Field Service Engineer 5Axis Machine Tools

Position Summary

The 5-Axis Product Service Engineer reports to the 5-Axis Product Manager and is responsible for traveling to customer and dealer facilities to install and service Sodick 5-axis milling machines and other Sodick machinery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, service and perform basic training on all Sodick milling machinery. Troubleshoot both electronic and mechanical problems on site using basic testing equipment (e.g., multimeter or oscilloscope). Travel by car or airplane to customer and dealer facilities. % of Time 60%
• On-site intake of customer complaints regarding equipment malfunction and service issues, and communication with customer and internal management regarding technical analysis and determination. 30%
• Document all work in a legible and technically sound manner. Submit service and expense reports for reimbursement. 5%
