Job descriptionProvide accounting and finance-related support to a department, unit, or program. Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness and accuracy. Ensure all financial transactions comply with university policies and federal regulations. Administer and process travel cards and expense reimbursements. Establish accounts in financial systems and prepare invoices as needed. Monitor accounting systems for clearing and outstanding items. Maintain departmental financial files, desktop procedures, and process documentation. Review transactions, supporting documents, and journal postings for consistency, accuracy, and proper authorization. Respond to transactional inquiries from client groups and resolve issues or escalate as appropriate. Attend occasional on-site meetings. Support other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned. 2+ years of experience in Accounting. High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and financial compliance standards. Proficiency with computerized office applications and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle Financials preferred). Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform desk-based computer tasks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing financial transactions. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and client groups. 5 days per week and 4 hrs / day during office hours
