Overview :
We are seeking a results-driven Director of Purchasing to support the daily execution of supply chain management functions. This role works closely with a Supply Chain Partner to deliver on cost, capacity, and trade competency objectives while ensuring cultural alignment across assigned operating divisions. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong ability to execute, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver measurable value through operational excellence and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Partner to manage daily operations and drive performance.
- Develop and mature supply chain processes aligned with organizational leadership principles.
- Build and sustain positive, productive trade relationships.
- Ensure trade partner capacity supports production needs and performance expectations.
- Enforce contract compliance, including pricing addendums and quality standards.
- Apply mutual gain negotiation strategies to secure durable agreements.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or client value.
- Work cross-functionally with internal departments to resolve systemic issues.
- Continuously improve supply chain disciplines and trade partner performance.
- Identify and introduce new methods and materials that enhance value.
- Maintain documentation for trade expectations and agreements.

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.3+ years of relevant work experience required.2+ years in the residential construction industry preferred.Background in technical sales, business, or manufacturing management is a plus.Proven skills in problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship management.Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regionally (including NC and SC).Skills & Competencies :
Strong communication and organizational skills.High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Self-starter capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.Collaborative team player with leadership maturity and operational focus.Physical Requirements :
