About the Role
This newly created role will serve as the central coordination point for product lifecycle scheduling—from initial build through testing, maintenance, and final disposition. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, operations, and external partners to unify scheduling processes and ensure efficient vehicle utilization across programs and locations. This is a high-impact role that requires strong communication, diplomacy, and leadership skills to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive alignment across the organization.
Responsibilities
Lifecycle Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain integrated schedules for test trucks across programs, test sites, and third-party engagements.
- Coordinate vehicle transitions from build to testing, maintenance, and fleet disposition.
- Plan shop work across multiple locations and external facilities.
- Schedule third-party test events (e.g., Dyno) and support vendor RFQ and DVP burn-down meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the liaison between test engineering, shop leads, maintenance teams, program managers, and third-party vendors.Facilitate weekly planning meetings and cross-functional discussions to align resources and resolve scheduling conflicts.Ensure proper documentation and contracts are in place for vehicle loans and returns.Strategic Oversight
Prioritize scheduling based on program urgency, resource constraints, and test readiness.Monitor and analyze truck usage to identify bottlenecks and underutilization.Recommend adjustments to improve throughput and reduce idle time.Support forecasting and resource planning for future test cycles.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of truck assignments, test durations, and location movements.Generate utilization reports and dashboards for leadership review.Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for scheduling and coordination.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in logistics, operations management, or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in scheduling, logistics coordination, or test operationsStrong understanding of vehicle testing environments and lifecycle managementProficiency in scheduling tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Jira)Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work cross-functionally and diplomatically with diverse teamsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailPreferred Skills
