Emergency Management Specialist
Summary
The incumbent will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist in the Security Programs staff located in the Criminal Division, Office of Administration.
The Security Programs staff is responsible for personnel security, physical security, information security, and emergency management programs in the Criminal Division.
Duties
As an Emergency Management Specialist , you will :
- Develop and administer the Division's emergency management programs and ensure supporting documentation is maintained and up to date.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Departmental policies and directives.
- Coordinate disaster response or crisis management activities, providing recommendations and advice to senior level staff as required.
- Evaluate the conformance of programs and program actions to available guides, such as pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents that affect the use of program and related resources.
- Participate in development and delivery of classes and briefings on emergency preparation, procedures, and processes.
- Recognize hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions, develop measures to eliminate or control these conditions and effectively communicate the appropriate measures to resolve these problems.
