We’re seeking experienced litigation attorneys with backgrounds in family law, civil litigation, or criminal defense. You should be confident in the courtroom, strategic in your approach, and motivated to manage your own caseload with autonomy. Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload in your primary area(s) of practiceRepresent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediationsStrategize, negotiate, and advocate to achieve the best outcomes for your clientsDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlementsMaintain clear, proactive communication with clientsCollaborate with fellow attorneys, intake, and paralegal staff to drive efficiency and resultsOptionally mentor junior attorneys and contribute to firm-wide improvement initiativesParticipate in business development or community engagement if desiredQualifications
Licensed to practice in Maine (or sitting for the next bar exam)3 years of litigation experience strongly preferred (open to candidates with more or less depending on fit)Strong courtroom presence, legal writing, and client communication skillsAbility to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team settingFamiliarity with civil procedure, criminal rules, and / or family law standards in MaineApply Today
