Job Overview - Accountant (Fixed Income) :

We are seeking an Accountant well-versed in financial services and fixed income. The role offers the benefit of a hybrid remote work environment.

Location : New York, NY (Hybrid : 2 days in-office, 3 days remote)

Compensation : $95,000 - $110,000 / year + bonus

Responsibilities as the Accountant :

• Collaborate with the Accounting team on quarterly and annual SEC reporting.
• Manage month-end and quarterly closing of the company's books.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Monitor the company's investment activities.
• Assist in reconciling cash and investment accounts.
• Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and contribute to SOX reviews.
• Participate in audit reviews and respond to related inquiries.
• Contribute to special projects, reporting, and analysis.

Qualifications for the Accountant :

• Education : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a significant plus.
• Experience : 2-4 years of experience, (Big 4 public accounting background a plus).
• Skills : Strong accounting, communication, Microsoft Excel, and Word skills.
• Knowledge : Financial services experience with a focus on fixed income is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and accounting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of quick learning.
