Payrolls Plus is a payroll service company with fourteen years ofconsecutive growth is looking to add a team member to its energetic team. Position requires a highly motivated individual with payroll experience that enjoys challenges, takesthem on, and wants to grow with the company and take advantage of the upwardmobility opportunities that this young growing company can provide them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Work as a key team member of a group ofpayroll processors
- On a daily basis handle payroll processingfor multiple clients
- Manage workflow to ensure all payrolltransactions are processed accurately and timely
- Review payrolls prior to finalizing andvalidate accuracy
- Understand proper taxation of employerpaid benefits
- Process garnishment calculations andcompliance
- Execute time and attendance processing andinterface with payroll
- Assist with the processing of accurate and timely Quarterly and year-end taxreporting (941s, State returns, W-2, W-2c, etc)
- Develop ad hoc financial and operationalreporting as needed
- Load import files received from clients
- Research, call and email with clientsregarding issues or missing items
- Build relationships of trust andconfidence with clients
- Suggest ways to improve processes orcreate efficiencies
QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Diploma / GED as minimum; somecollege or college degree a big plusCPP preferred but not required5+ years of experience processing payroll,preferably with multi-statesWorking knowledge of payroll bestpracticesKnowledge of federal and state payrolllaws and regulations.Strong PC skills including proficiency inExcelDemonstrated ability to learn new systemsExperience with integration of Timekeepingsystems to PayrollStrong work ethic and team player, eagerto take on more responsibilityHigh degree of professionalismAbility to deal sensitively withconfidential materialAble to multitask and to deal with severalclients at a time, set prioritiesStrong interpersonal (verbal and written)communication skillsCan effectively communicate with variouslevels of managementDecision-making, problem-solving, andanalytical skillsBasic accounting knowledge and / orQuickBooks exposure to assist clients in posting payroll costs
