We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with strong MS Excel skills! In this role, you will play a key part in managing promotional adjustments and ensuring accurate billing processes for our suppliers and customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities :
- Process a high volume of invoices using Excel, Access databases, and internal billing systems.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records and billing documentation.
- Generate and analyze reports from various software platforms to support financial operations.
- Prepare and issue supplier invoices for promotional programs, advertising, samples, and related activities.
- Collaborate with the Sales department to update promotional schedules and pricing details.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, sales teams, and internal departments to address billing or promotional concerns.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation to support audits and ensure compliance.
- Assist in improving billing and tracking processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in month-end close procedures and support special projects as needed.
- Perform additional accounting and clerical tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience in accounting, finance, billing, or related roles (a college degree is preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in data entry and invoice processing.
- Familiarity with accounting functions such as accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial records.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Capability to adapt to new processes and software systems as needed.
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
