A day in the life of a Sales Director, Americas Wholesale at Vans looks a little like this. This individual is responsible for strategically driving the Vans business across US and Canada Lifestyle and Value accounts in footwear and apparel / accessories. This person will be a key partner to merchandising, planning, and marketing to deliver best in class execution for brand elevation. A deep understanding of the marketplace and consumer will a key component to fuel growth. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales for the Americas.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketplace strategy to drive revenue, optimize market penetration and elevate brand perception.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships across the market.
  • Develop best in class sales team and mentor next generation of leaders.
  • Identify and expand into new markets with strategic alignment to brand foundation.
  • Results driven mindset to fuel business expansion.
  • Deep understanding of wholesale analytics and planning to maintain brand health.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 15 years of industry related experience, 5+ years of leadership within a complex marketplace. Turnaround experience is a plus.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are :

  • Robust experience in managing a complex marketplace across Lifestyle and Value accounts
  • Passion to mentor, develop and grow best in class sales team
  • Proven track record of elevating instore and digital brand experience across the wholesale market
  • Diverse experience developing and driving growth across footwear, apparel and accessories
  • Creativity and drive to deliver growth
  • Strong forecasting acumen to align sales targets with strategic initiatives
  • Collaborative partner to bring cross functional teams together and deliver against our goals
  • Location requirement : Costa Mesa, CA.

    Hiring Range : $172,800.00 USD - $216,000.00 USD annually

    Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
