Primary Care Physician - Private Practice
OPEN POSITION : Physician - Primary Care SCHEDULE : - Part-Time (2 or 3 Days per Week) - Full-Time (4 or 5 Days per Week) - Monday to Friday - No Weekends - No Evenings - Minimal On-Call - Flexible Options CLINIC HOURS : - Monday to Friday - 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm COMPENSATION : - $200,000 to $250,000+ Base Salary, dependent upon experience - Partnership Option - Malpractice Insurance - Health / Dental / Vision Insurance - Paid Time Off Package - License / DEA Fees - CME Allowance + Paid Time Off - IRA Plan - Full Details Negotiable LOCATION : Suffield, Connecticut COMPANY PROFILE : This private practice has been providing a full scope of primary care services to patients in the Suffield area for more than 40 years.
They currently employ 2 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers, along with a robust support staff of clinical and administrative team members.
In addition to their traditional weekday clinic operations, they also offer a medical walk-in facility that’s open on the weekends and where they see patients for urgent medical care.
They have on-site x-ray, phlebotomy, and lab services. They are hiring due to the upcoming retirement of a long-tenured physician.
POSITION DESCRIPTION : This is a standard outpatient primary care role, in which the physician will be responsible for overall provision of care to patients.
The current patient base is 95% ages 18 and up. If the new provider would like to expand the pediatric patient population, the practice is happy to accommodate that.
The practice is open to a part-time schedule of 2 or 3 days per week or a full-time schedule of 4 or 5 days per week. The majority of current providers work a 4-day schedule.
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to : - patient evaluations - physical assessments - patient education - chronic disease management - preventative medicine - medication management - specialist referrals The clinic has on-site x-ray, phlebotomy, and lab services.
Providers see an average of 18 to 24 patients per day, with a dedicated clinical support staff. The practice uses Epic. On-call duties are 1 night per week.
On-call is phone triage only and typically 1 or 2 calls per night.
