Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in the management of public programs; performs related work as assigned. This position supports programming for vulnerable older adults and requires at least 50% of time working in the field, visiting clients, and engaging in outreach activities.

Typical Duties (Illustrative Only)

• Develops, implements, and evaluates programs that provide services to the public
• Ensures contract and regulatory compliance
• Participates in the development and administration of the program budget
• Acts as department liaison with various agencies providing resources
• Conducts comprehensive assessments with individuals and families to identify strengths and areas of need
• Works with clients and other department divisions to develop plans and strategies for meeting specific goals
• Provides referrals and information about other service providers, alternative assistance available, client responsibilities, and appeal rights
• Supports clients in meeting short and long-term goals throughout the term of the case plan
• Provides follow-up and case plan review and revision as needed
• Writes grant proposals and develops new funding sources
• Negotiates contracts
• Supervises and evaluates employees
• Interprets guidelines and rules
• Develops policies and procedures
• Meets with clients, investigates, and resolves client complaints
• Develops and implements training as needed
• Prepares and maintains records and reports
• Performs related duties as assigned

Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to sitting for computer work; working with and around other staff; working alone; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand / wrist) for computer work,; vision acuity (near / far) for computer work; hearing and speech for ordinary conversation with staff and customers; finger dexterity for typing / 10-key.
