Objectives
As the Vice President of Investment Banking, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and other financial advisory services.
You will work closely with senior management and clients to identify strategic opportunities and provide expert guidance on financial matters.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts and associates, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the successful completion of transactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the execution of investment banking transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other financial advisory services
- Manage a team of analysts and associates, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the successful completion of transactions
- Participate in the preparation of marketing materials, including pitch books, management presentations, and other related materials
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support transaction execution and provide valuation guidance to clients
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm, including Private Wealth, Private Equity, and Consulting, to ensure comprehensive solutions for our clients
- Stay up to date on market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to ensure the firm is well-positioned to provide relevant and timely advice to clients
- Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to maintain and enhance the firm's reputation and client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred
- At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, with a focus on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and other financial advisory services
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams and executing complex transactions
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues
- Series 63 / 69 licenses required, or the ability to obtain them within 3 months of hire
