Your Specific Responsibilities
The Government Operations Consultant I performs a wide range of duties under the direct supervision of the Operations & MGMT Consultant II - SES. This position assists with the management, monitoring, and enforcement for the terms and conditions of various contracts for Escambia County Health Department (Escambia CHO) in accordance with Chapter 287 .057(14), Florida Statutes. Assures compliance with current Department of Health security policies by fulfilling the Information Custodian responsibilities described in Security Policy 3, in areas of responsibilities. Travel may be required.
Assists the Fleet Management Officer to coordinate acquisition of fuel cards for all Escambia CHO employees that drive County vehicles; assist with the reservations of the fleet. Coordinates Defensive Driving courses for employees driving County vehicles.
Assist with the fleet vehicle and vehicle key inventory and issuance upon reservations. Maintains inspections of fleet vehicles and all maintenance records. Assist with purchase acquisition of all new fleet vehicle purchase orders.
Responsible for monthly reconciliation of various contracts including but not limited to WEX, Sun Pass, and E-Roads. Responsible for various business operations activities, including but not limited to purchasing goods and services for the Division using Purchasing card. Works in Ariba on Demand / My Florida Market Place and WORKS.
Manages procurement for mobile devices and accessories for all Escambia CHO employees in the Escambia CHO Cell Phone Bill Verification System. Research to resolve problems with phones, and updates organization users' supervisors and program organization codes.
Assist as back-up to Records Management Liaison Officer for the Escambia CHO when they are unavailable, assisting in compliance with records retention and destruction policies of the Department of Health Information Security Policy. Assist as back-up staff in identifying specific record retentions as needed, assists in records storage activities, including electronic records; provides training and work review of staff involved in the management of records. Provides aid to the Records Management Liaison Officer managing the onsite storage facilities, the archiving, retrieval, and disposal of all records; assists with maintaining the automated inventory database of all records placed in storage. Runs reports as requested in the absence of the RMLO.
Back-up for mail and to door key custodian.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Emergency duty required of this position includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Information custodian : Assigned responsibility for maintaining information in accordance with state and federal statutes, rules, regulations, and Department of Health policy as it relates to Information Custodian, Delegation of Authority. This position will have access to records containing social security numbers in the performance of job duties. May be required to use a personal vehicle for work-related duties.
