A premier healthcare organization in California is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join its highly specialized Histocompatibility Lab on the night shift. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in complex, high-acuity lab settings. The position involves performing high-complexity HLA testing in support of organ transplantation services. Professionals with HLA experience are highly encouraged to apply; however, generalist CLS candidates with strong analytical thinking and night shift experience will also be considered.

Compensation :

$54,000 to $87,000 per year, depending on experience

Generous night shift differential offered

What You’ll Do :

Perform complex HLA antibody identification and crossmatching, including deceased donor workups

Analyze, interpret, and report test results with accuracy and timeliness

Investigate quality control shifts or trends; perform corrective actions as needed

Troubleshoot instrumentation and assay issues using procedural and manufacturer documentation

Mentor and train junior staff, CLS trainees, and lab technicians

Participate in lab-based projects and assist in updating SOPs and regulatory documentation

May serve as a technical resource and act as general supervisor if delegated
