About the role

The Program Director is responsible for the supervision, maintenance, and service delivery of the treatment program and facility. The Program Director consults with the Director of Clinical Services and the Director of Clinical Compliance on an as-needed basis to ensure the most efficient utilization of program and company resources. The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the clinical staff and closely supervises all services to assure they are delivered, in keeping with ROWI's mission statement and Joint Commission Standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Audits EMR and all clinical documentation and communicates with Director of Clinical Services and Director of Clinical Compliance.
  • Effectively communicates with upper management, program participants, and families.
  • Adheres to documentation standards, timelines, and expectations.
  • Assists the Director of Clinical Compliance with DMHC appeals.
  • Conducts and manages on-site utilization reviews and monitors census development.
  • Delivery and maintenance of program schedule that is in compliance with ROWI standards.
  • Works effectively with the Director of Clinical Compliance on Peer Reviews.
  • Oversees interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and weekly staff meetings.
  • Oversees the completion and review of the Parent Satisfaction Survey upon discharge.
  • Supervises therapists to ensure treatment plans are being implemented and updated.
  • Monitor and assess staff morale and build team spirit and continuity.
  • Participate in the interview process with the Director of Clinical Services to determine the appropriateness and qualifications of prospective staff members.
  • Manages crisis or emergency situations as needed; is available by telephone evenings and weekends.
  • Completes performance reviews of the program staff, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals for the coming year.
  • Serve as a role model to treatment staff, clients, employees, and guests through a positive, caring, and professional attitude.
  • Maintain the confidential nature of clients and related activities.
  • Comply with the dress code.
  • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adheres to program budgets.
  • Actively works on program schedule development.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the management team.

  • Basic Education and Experience Required :

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or Social Work. The Program Director will be licensed or license eligible as a MFT, registered intern, clinical psychologist or social worker. Unlicensed clinicians will work with a licensed supervisor.
  • Two years of experience in treatment or hospital setting.
  • Knowledge / Competencies :

  • Must work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments.
  • Has a working knowledge of Psychopathology, Diagnostic Assessment, and related treatment interventions.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability and knowledge.
  • Able to assess clients upon admission and formulate the plan for treatment
  • Possesses knowledge of Axis One diagnosis and what symptoms typically present in adolescents.
  • Documents clearly and efficiently.
  • Able to present and manage cases in a knowledgeable and professional manner to obtain a length of stay that allows enough time for clients to make sufficient gains so that sustained post- discharge progress can occur.
  • Must be able to communicate with people from all educational and cultural backgrounds.
  • Must have strong written communication skills.
  • Must cope constructively with stressful situations.
  • Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professional manner, enthusiasm, and non-judgmental attitude.

  • Additional Requirements :

  • Must have a valid driver's license and eligibility for insurance with agency's vehicles.
  • Must have valid First-Aid & CPR Certifications and a criminal background check.
