Engineering Project Manager, App Analytics

We are looking for a highly organized, results-oriented individual with extensive experience in operational / project management as well as experience with analytics. As Senior Project Manager for Analytics for Applications you'll work closely with the Analytics team in shipping large, multifunctional business data analytics and data service projects to support analytics and reporting of various Apple applications.

You will work closely with the Analytics team, and you will facilitate operations between business, product, technology, marketing, legal, operations, engineering, and finance. You will support analytics, business, and product goals, using your expert skills to implement processes as well as improve operations and communications in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will lead day-to-day progress of tasks and results, coordinate with cross-functional partners to clarify priorities and expectations for sprint planning, while driving teams to meet commitments based on those plans. You will wrangle and lead executive meetings for which Analytics is a key contributor. You will identify key workstreams or processes that Analytics should be involved in and partner with the Engineering Project Managers and cross-functional partners to ensure proper representation. You will serve as the liaison for the Analytics for Applications team and negotiate with partners across the organization to align schedules and resources. You will foresee and enthusiastically manage risks and dependencies for the Analytics for Applications team, and work to ensure that roadblocks are removed and all open issues are resolved. You thrive in an ambiguous environment and are adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts. You will stay detailed down to the granular level, while maintaining a high level perspective of the project at hand. You will utilize your experience with instrumentation, analytics, data governance, and experimentation to drive results. Minimum Qualifications :

  • 6+ years Business Operations, Planning, or Project Management experience; demonstrating increasing levels of operational responsibilities
  • Experience working with instrumentation, analytics, data governance, or experimentation platforms
  • Experience understanding subscription businesses, financials, marketing and / or business development a plus

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Outstanding organizational and presentation skills
  • Pro at driving partnerships with internal teams and building relationships with external partners
  • Solid track record of leading multiple complex, cross-functional projects
  • Sense of urgency and ownership to drive issues to completion
  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations and can brainstorm solutions in high pressure situations
  • Executive presence and comfortable speaking and presenting to leadership
  • Understand technical issues at a sufficiently deep level to identify gaps
  • Familiar with metrics, operations, and the complete software product lifecycle
  • Eye towards strategy and can provide input to help drive meetings forward
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems while staying the course on overall business and project priorities
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
