FINANCIAL ANALYST

IMPACT ON BUSINESS :

The Financial Analyst is a strategic partner to business leaders, driving data-driven decision-making and supporting the company’s growth through advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling. This position is pivotal in shaping financial strategy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the organization.  Additional impact includes :

Deliver actionable insights through qualitative and quantitative analysis to internal and external stakeholders.

Support corporate strategic initiatives, enhance internal processes, and evaluate business performance.

Involvement in the development of forecasts, budgets, financial models, and dynamic analytics to inform decision-making.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Essential Functions] :

Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and recommendations (including charts, graphs, industry and internal trend analysis, and exception reporting) for senior management.

Assist in developing monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range projections in collaboration with operational stakeholders and through historical performance analysis.

Build and maintain strategic relationships with key personnel across business units.

Attend and present financials at leadership meetings, communicating complex financial concepts clearly.

Provide daily / weekly sales and gross margin reporting for various business units and sales channels.

Deliver analytical support to assigned areas such as store operations, ecommerce, marketing, and merchandise planning.

Identify opportunities for profit improvement and present findings to key stakeholders.

Design and develop clear, logical, and dynamic financial models to analyze large volumes of data.

Automate reporting and analytics using BI tools where applicable.

Conduct scenario modeling and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to support business decisions.

Contribute to scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, Return on Investment (ROI) and risk assessment.

Foster a culture of customer service, continuous process improvement, and effective collaboration within FP&A.

Uphold personal responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of all work.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES :

Preferred : Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management / Administration, or related field

Two years of financial analysis experience required; retail or consumer-facing industry experience a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.

Knowledge of finance, accounting, financial reporting, and automated financial / accounting systems.

Experience with database / data cube management and general ledger structures.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce quality work within tight timeframes.

Adaptability and openness to leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics in financial planning.

Team player with a creative approach and attention to detail.

Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.
