Reporting to the Director of Student Conduct & Community Standards, this position is responsible for the various elements of student conduct investigations and related procedures.
The Student Conduct Officer oversees investigations related to the standards of academic integrity and responsible conduct allegations for all UNL students.
- Position provides prompt, equitable, and impartial investigations into allegations regarding violations of the Student Code of Conduct;
- meeting with students who have allegedly violated the Student Code of Conduct; meeting with witnesses, complainants, and / or victims to gather information and evidence;
and determining educational outcomes. Gathers and assesses evidence relevant to the investigation and identifies University policies and / or Student Code of Conduct provisions relevant to a referral.
Coordinates education, prevention, and training efforts. Participates in presenting information to Conduct Board Hearings.
Responsible for keeping current in the field of student conduct investigations by participating in conferences, workshops, and professional training.
