Certified Senior Coder

A company is looking for a Senior Coder (Cert) to prepare statistical reports and code diseases and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare statistical reports and code diseases and operations according to classification systems

Maintain indices in accordance with established policies and procedures

Crossover between all coding types while ensuring a 95% coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

Graduate as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred

Minimum 3 years of recent inpatient and outpatient coding experience required

One to three years of coding experience in an acute care setting

Credentialed as RHIT / RHIA or CCS required

Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
