JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Position Summary :

Unical is looking for an experienced detail-orientated Senior Accountant to join our team. As part of the Finance organization, the Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the business by maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal controls to help safeguard the Company's assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting standards and principles while also being a self-starter who's flexible and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Manage full cycle accounting process for assigned areas including the preparation and recording of journal entries, reconciliations and financial statement review.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations while being able to identify and correct reconciling items promptly.
• Analyze financial data to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, while proactively identifying areas for improvement.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper accounting for business activities.
• Analyze and explain monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
• Research technical accounting issues and implement relevant standards and frameworks as needed.
• Work closely with A / R and A / P teams to ensure accuracy of account balances.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
• Assist in implementation, oversight and compliance with Company's SOX procedures and internal controls.
• Support interim and year-end audits by coordinating with external auditors and internal partners, providing necessary documentation.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and provide insights to management as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
