Reports to : Wealth Management Assistant Vice President - Investments

FLSA Status : Exempt

Salary Grade Range : EX04 ($55,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually)

SUMMARY :

The Wealth Management Manager is responsible for researching, reviewing, and processing all activities related to Wealth Management clients serving as investment advisor on assigned accounts and developing new business. Examines events and conditions that impact client's accounts and addresses an actionable item.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor and / or Trustco Bank's Board of Directors.

• Executes purchases and sales to raise capital, invest any excess cash and rebalances accounts as necessary.
• Researches and analyzes global events, overall market trends, and daily economic press releases. Including the examination of earning reports for all stocks on the Bank's recommended list and perform research for relevant information pertaining to those companies.
• Compares performance of the Bank's recommended securities relative to their benchmarks to determine if the securities are still benefitting the Bank's portfolios.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and Bank policies and procedures as they pertain to financial services activities.
• Adjusts and rebalances client portfolios in order to determine if and when it is prudent to reallocate securities within a portfolio.
• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports relative to performance of investments.
• Complete annual account reviews insuring adherence to restrictions and goals of the accountant as well as evaluate the accounts performance.

This is a full-time position. Office hours Monday Friday 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL :

Travel using personal vehicle, occasional overnight travel. Valid driver's license required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace ; bilingual skills a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, including but not limited to company policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
